Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 4, 2026

At DataDoc Studio ("we," "our," or "us"), we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting responsible data collection and usage practices. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you access our website and use our document automation services (the "Service").

Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this privacy policy, please do not access the site.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you strictly provide to us directly when you register for an account, connect data sources, or communicate with us.

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up using a third-party provider (like Google or GitHub), we collect information allowed by that provider.

Data Source Information

To provide our document automation service, we access data from sources you explicitly connect (such as Airtable, Softr, or other APIs). We only access this data to generate documents found in your templates. We do not store your raw source data permanently; it is processed in-memory to generate the final document and then discarded, unless you explicitly choose to archive generated documents.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our Service.
  • Process your document generation requests.
  • Improve, personalize, and expand our Service.
  • Understand and analyze how you use our Service.
  • Communicate with you, either directly or through one of our partners, for customer service, updates, and marketing.
  • Send you emails, including invoices and system alerts.
  • Find and prevent fraud.

3. Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. Your data source API keys are encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

4. Google API Services

This application uses Google API Services. When you connect your Google account, we may access the following information based on your authorization:

Data We Access

  • Google Profile Information (email, name, profile picture) — Used for authentication and account identification when you sign in with Google.
  • Google Drive Files (Specific Files Only) — We only access specific Google Docs that you explicitly open or select with the app. We do not have access to your entire Google Drive.

How We Use Google Data

  • We access your Google Docs only when you explicitly request to import a specific document.
  • Document content is converted to our internal format and stored in your DataDoc Studio account.
  • We do not store your Google authentication tokens permanently beyond the active session.
  • We do not access, read, or modify any files you have not explicitly selected for import.
  • We do not use Google data for advertising purposes.

Google Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your Google user data with third parties except as necessary to provide the Service (e.g., cloud hosting to store your imported documents) or as required by law.

Google API Compliance

DataDoc Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Third-Party Services

We may share information with third-party vendors, service providers, contractors, or agents who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. Examples include:

  • Payment processing (e.g., Stripe)
  • Data analysis (e.g., PostHog, Google Analytics)
  • Email delivery (e.g., Mailgun/Resend)
  • Hosting services (e.g., Vercel, AWS)

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to access, correct, or delete your data. You may request to delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting our support team or using the deletion option in your account settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
